Since January 2nd, 2019, the Tomorrowland Speedway has been temporarily closed so that the track could be adjusted to make room for the necessary construction of the TRON roller coaster at the Magic Kingdom.
On Thursday May 16th, 2019, the construction walls have come down and cast members have returned! We spoke with a Tomorrowland Speedway Cast Member who assured us that the speedway would once again re-open in the next few days with the modified track. Shortly after speaking with the cast member we could see more cast moving cars around, setting up and getting ready to do a practice run of operations in preparation for guests to return.
