Recently Disneyland has been undergoing a series of improvements und the Project Stardust initiative and the removal and replacement of the Disneyland Adventureland entry sign was one of them.
Project Stardust, (a compound of the words “Star” for Star Wars and “Dust” for pixie dust,) is the multi-faceted effort to improve the flow of walkways, enhance and expand queues, address show schedules and locations, create dedicated stroller parking, remove obstructive seating, refurbish park structures, and generally increase capacity Within the park.
The previous sign, (see below,) while magnificentlay themed, heavily obstructed the pathway and created a bottle neck against the very popular Tiki Juice Bar.
The new sign, while much more plain, (see below,) allows for a much more free flow of traffic.
Project Stardust isn't over just yet with only a few weeks left before Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens in Disneyland. This is just one of the many projects that are wrapping up all over the park in preparation for what is looking to be one of the biggest land openings in Disney history.
