These delicious dumplings are all the rage and #TMRtours has been trying some recipes of our own. This is one of our favorite bao styles we have discovered. Ingredients: 1/2 lbs. Ham 1/2 lbs. Swiss Cheese Shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 cups flour 1 1/4 cups water
1 tbsp of sugar
1 tbsp salt
2 tsp of yeast
Mix warm water and sugar. Then add yeast. Let the yeast activate for 15 minutes. Add Salt to the 2 cups flour. Then, add yeasty water to the flour. Mix and form dough. Let rise for 1 hour in 80-90 degree atmosphere.
Meanwhile, dice the ham and cheese into manageable pieces. Keep the shredded cheese handy. Once the dough has risen and is ready separate into golf ball size portions.
Fill each portion with a generous tbsp of ham and cheese. Wrap and form dumpling. Depending on your bao size you can get anywhere from 18-24 bats.

Form pouch around Ham and cheese and close dumpling. Spread out formed bao bun inside a bamboo steamer and steam for 20minutes. Remove from steam and let them rest for another 10 minutes. Then open steamer and enjoy!
